One of my most treasured pieces of jewelry are these beautiful, powerful earrings from Alexis Bittar. The kind that when worn with tired looking jeans, flip flops and a Hanes tank, get you upgraded to First Class. I was walking in Chelsea last week and saw the new ad campaign for Alexis Bittar featuring the glam, bitchy (said with absolute reverence) Joan Collins. And it stopped me in my tracks. Being a native New Yorker, it’s virtually impossible to shock me or stop me from getting to my destination yesterday. But there was Joan. And I had the sudden urge to stand taller, be bolder and slap someone in public.

i’ve been seeing this all over the city and i love it every time. brilliant campaign….it worked on me…i didn’t even know who he was! now i’m expecting my first bittar piece in a few days, we’ll see if it’ll class up my tired jeans…
